Majolica Penguins

This is a lesson I teach to students in 3rd grade who are learning about different geographic regions and habitats as part of the social studies curriculum.
It's one of the few projects where we use a cube as one of the starting geometric forms. The kids attach their little penguins to a mini ice cube. This is another lesson that we glaze using our majolica base white glaze on top of Rovin's RO-82 terra cotta clay.
