Ian Currie

Each of these grid tiles contains 35 glazes. The glazes all contain the same flux ingredients. What varies in each glaze is the amount of of clay and silica. This method of exploring glazes was developed by Ian Currie.

Ian Currie has written two books about using his grid method. Revealing Glazes is the one I would recommend starting with if you are new to the grid method. Stoneware Glazes is a more technical read and contains a treasure trove of information that will make more sense after you have fired a few grid glaze tiles.
